A 12-month European Master of Science, delivered and awarded by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid) in collaboration with BCDIS. Starts 10 December 2026.

Which course is right for you?
You have not placed an implant yet
The Diploma is where most general dentists start. It opens with patient assessment, safe practice and CBCT-based digital planning, then moves to supervised implant placement in approved cases from the third module. You are mentored by the same faculty for eighteen months, building the clinical record you are assessed on.
You already place implants and want full-arch
The Full-Arch Masterclass is one intensive, hands-on day for clinicians who already place implants: full-arch planning, surgical placement and immediate-load workflows, taught by College faculty. It is a focused step up in one area of practice, not a qualification.
You want a university master’s
The Master of Science in Implant Dentistry is delivered and awarded by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid over twelve months, and ends with a research dissertation and viva. BCDIS and URJC are independent: we introduce the programme and forward applications, and URJC set the entry requirements and decide admission.
What you finish with
The Diploma
The EduQual Diploma in Implant Dentistry (SCQF Level 11) is awarded by EduQual, a regulated awarding body approved by Qualifications Scotland Accreditation. EduQual credit rates it for the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework at Level 11 — the same level as a master’s degree. What is SCQF Level 11?
The masterclass
The Full-Arch Masterclass carries 12 hours of verifiable CPD, with a CPD certificate issued by the College. It is continuing professional development in one area of practice, not a qualification.
The MSc
The Master of Science in Implant Dentistry is awarded by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, which runs admission, enrolment, teaching, examination and fees. BCDIS does not award it. About the programme
